Classrooms

Nursery
Our Nursery is a small environment with the first emphasis being on nurturing and the building of trust and a bond between the family, the child and our caregivers, and the second emphasis being on the preparation of a young child to enter a toddler classroom. What does that mean? We equip them with the love of exploring coupled with the skills of becoming a team member among their friends as they learn to share, listen, and interact with others. While all educational/developmental practices are utilized throughout the school most prevalently used theories in the nursery are, Intro to Spanish, Baby signs, Montessori (sensorial), an general use of the Wee Learn theme.
Toddler
As our tots enter their “tenacious” twos they prepare to learn and become a part of their peer group, in a larger room. They now sit in circle, work on shelf work, line up and clean their environment independently, ok well almost independently. As they discover the stage of their actions causing reactions, they explore more advanced social schematics and acts of independence then they have in the past. While all educational/developmental practices are utilized throughout the school most prevalently used theories in the toddler rooms are, Intro to Spanish, Montessori (sensorial), Wee Learn, and general practices of TSR. At this point baby naturally starts to wean off of sign language and head to potty training.

Preschool
As our tenacious twos calm down and figure out their place within a group, they start to crave more structured environment and consistency in their work and schedule. They are ready for their preschool room and a full TSR environment. This is such an age of discovery and children enjoy both group time and individual learning. While all educational/developmental practices are utilized throughout the school most prevalently used theories in our preschool rooms are Modified Montessori, TSR, Wee Learn, and Intro to Spanish.
Pre K
Children headed to our Pre K room have truly developed a love and interest in learning and discovery. At this point they are already using fine motor skills, letter & number skills, and Pre-Language Arts skills to delve into learning at its fullest. They have so much fun learning advanced theories with their daily visitor. They start to add and write or read. They are very excited about their advanced skills and being the oldest in the school & getting ready for “big school”. While all educational/developmental practices are utilized throughout the school most prevalently used theories in our Pre K rooms are Modified Montessori, TSR (advanced), Wee Learn, and Intro to Spanish.
