This was my biggest teaching challenge so far.  The idea was to select one of three basic landscapes and then create a personal interpretation of it in quilt form.  These were what the students had to choose from:

1:  A body of water with Mount Rainer in the background

 

2:  A farm

3: A tropical scene

To give them an idea of how to get from point A to point B I did my own quilted interpretations of the basic landscapes.

Over the past couple of years I have established a professional relationship with the Corpus Christi Art Center and they were gracious enough to let me use their upstairs sunroom for the class.
